Dear juniors,

I have 8 people for training today and 6 of us are made up of seniors. Another 2 juniors turn up at the end of training but it was not their fault. In fact, I thank them for coming down so late, whether because they had work or that they do not know the sudden change in timing, I appreciated their effort in turning up.

I do not know why so many of you did not turn up for training today because despite the umpteen times I've reminded you to check this blog regularly, and despite the number of times you all have been reminded of this link, I seem to get the impression that no one bothers to do so. Only a couple decent ones bothered to let me know that they will not be coming for training, or that they will be late. But the rest seem to have neglected their duty as a team member.

While I am still responsible towards this team, I find the need to remind you that I or any other seniors do not manage this team alone because touch rugby is a team sport. And while, many of you have decided that you want a place in the team by telling us you want a jersey, you are thereby signing yourself onto something. Something we, or at least I value. And I expect you to uphold your agreement to that.

Whether the holidays have somehow radioactively detached all your commitments from touch, it is still your responsibility to give an explanation for your absence. If this continues, you can be assured that you will find yourself lagging behind in this sport compared to others who have come down for training religiously. And if you are considering of taking this sport competitively, you will not find yourself such an opportunity.

Lastly, if you feel that you cannot commit yourself to this team even after when school reopens, kindly let someone know your resignation. I already have in mind some of the people who seem to treat this club as something no more than a "I need to start running! I'm growing fatter :(" gathering after school. If you want to refute my point, PROVE ME WRONG.

P.S Training this Thursday starts at 1830pm sharp, admin field. I don't expect any late comers. The field will be dark after 8, not even the street soccer court lights will help much. So be punctual and we'll end training earlier too.
