Wednesday, January 09, 2008 ► go starburst!

Hello girls, there's nothing we can do to what has already happened. What is more important is that we leave the negative thoughts of today's game behind and look forward to Friday's game with NYP. We're down with 2 players, Liana and Oats but that's okay, because we'll win NYP for them. I'll try my best, and i'm sure you girls are in with me. Do not despair, let's just give our all for the remaining games and aim to make it to the finals.

As Confucius says, "Our greatest glory consist not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." We keep thinking that some schools are better than us, that we just want to do our best for that game with them but where's the desire to win?

I think it's up to each and every one of us to determine how the game turns out to be. Do we want to continue to be an underdog team and are we playing just for the sake of playing? We were doing really well in the first few minutes of today's game, but when the first try was made, we lost concentration, and got all flustered. It doesn't matter because staying focus is more important.

Let's keep that in mind and prepare ourselves for Friday's game. Come on girls, we can do this!

Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
Willing is not enough; we must do.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
